Configuration

Model Train Script syncs all data of the app across all the devices that you own, however some options are device specific.

This configuration options only apply to your current device.​

Modes

ModelTrainScript offers camera detection, it supports multiple cameras by using multiple iPhones/iPads. If you want to use this feature your main devices stays in "controller" mode, the devices you want to use as a camera will have to be put in "remote camera" mode. See Camera detection for examples of camera detection.

General configuration

Profiles​

Model Train Script allows you to configure three different profiles. Every profile represents a unique connection to a command station with corresponding layout, scripts and vehicles.

Profiles can be shared with other users via the import/export screen.

Connection​

Before you can do anything in the app you will need to configure the connection to your Command Station. In order to do that you go to configuration, there we turn of the demo mode. Now you can configure the IP address and port of your system. By default the Z21 settings are 192.168.0.111 with port 21105. It is possible to change these ip settings via the Z21 maintenance app.

Behavior​

In the configuration screen you can also configure the app behavior. The power off option at the background behavior makes sure your layout is in the stop state whenever the app goes to background. This is an extra prevention against runaway trains and we recommend that you leave this option enabled.
